The Early Days: Wetherill Park (2003)
In 2003, Cornells Diesel, then a small operation, purchased two 2-post hoists from Levanta for their workshop in Wetherill Park. This was the start of a partnership that would see both companies grow side by side. As Cornells Diesel expanded its operations, their demands for workshop equipment increased, and Levanta was there every step of the way.
Sunshine West Expansion (2008 -2016)
By 2008, Cornells Diesel had expanded into a new location in Sunshine West, VIC, purchasing three more hoists from Levanta. However, the growth of Cornells Diesel quickly outpaced the capacity of this workshop. In response, they turned to Levanta once again to help design and implement a full workshop fit-out for a larger facility in the same area.
Completed in 2016, this comprehensive fit-out was designed to meet Cornells Diesel’s increased operational demands. It included:
- 5 x 5.5-tonne in-ground cylinder lifts
- 1 x 8-tonne OMER Knuckle lift
- Exhaust extraction system
- DURA workshop furniture fit-out through the main workshop and rebuild room
- Full oil delivery system with bulk storage tanks and oil management system
- Compressed air system, including a 20Hp air compressor
- Additional workshop equipment
Reflecting on this successful project, Devesh Miresh, CEO of Cornells Diesel, stated,
“Levanta did the full 3D drawing of the fit-out and helped us with the process of work. They did a lot of hard work to make everything run smoothly and rolled out the whole project, so it was really good!”
Looking Ahead: Future Growth
Cornells Diesel’s success and expansion didn’t stop there. Devesh Miresh continues to see Levanta as a trusted partner in his company’s future projects. Cornells Diesel has contracted Levanta for their next major project—a workshop fit-out in Brisbane. This upcoming facility will replicate the same system installed at their Sunshine West location in 2016, further expanding their national footprint.
Devesh shared his thoughts on this long-standing partnership: “We wanted to improve on processes to get work done quicker and have the workshop be more efficient, and the fuel injection repair done more efficiently. Levanta has been on the journey all the way through, and the business has been growing year by year.”
He went on to praise Levanta’s dedication to customer service: “The service was good, the after-service was good. Any issues were resolved in a timely manner, and we never got affected with business.”
