Using an existing bay plan, we worked hard and fast with our client to assist with advice on workflow efficiency and placement. Utilising our supply and installation experience, we quickly and efficiently delivered a complete workshop fit out that ticked all the boxes.

Project Challenge

Levanta was asked to provide a solution for the testing of Brake and Suspension components on the fleet of TransDev buses being deployed for 3 existing sites with new bus routes being operated by TransDev. The projects had to be completed in 2 stages and were on very tight time frames whilst having minimal impact on the workflow in the workshops.

Our Solution

Utilising our comprehensive workshop fit out expertise, we worked closely with the customer to advise them of the best positioning of the equipment, as well as providing full project management services for the installation of three sites in the Melbourne area.

The project included:

  • 3 x BM Roller Brake Testers (1 per site)
  • 3 x Wheel Play Detectors to 3 sites (1 per site)
  • Design extension to workshop pit to one site to cater for Wheel Play Detectors
  • Engage and manage civil contractors to successful completion of works

Based on the success of previous projects with Transdev, Levanta was called to assist with the design and delivery of the South Granville Transdev workshop. Our experience with the client, equipment and systems provided a solid platform for another successful fit out project.

Project Challenge

Work closely with TransDev NSW and their builders and architects to assist in the design and installation of workshop systems and equipment.

Our Solution

Design, supply and install a range of workshop equipment and systems.

Design and delivery of the South Granville Transdev workshop

Servicing up to 150 buses required a specialist knowledge of equipment, design and workspace efficiency, so Kangaroo Bus Lines called Levanta to help with their fit out. Devising the perfect strategy to combine large scale efficiency, safety and productivity, the result was a resounding success.

Project Challenge

To work closely with a building and construction company to design, manufacture, supply and install a total workshop facility for the Kangaroo Bus Lines Depot at Burpengary that can service and maintain up to 150 buses. This was a green field site which required significant input and expertise to deliver a highly flexible and workable solution to the client.

Our Solution

Designed from the concept stage in conjunction with the client and the builder, this project combined the full scope of our workshop solutions, incorporating engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, supply and installation.

Kangaroo Bus Lines – Burpengary QLD - Servicing up to 150 buses required a specialist knowledge of equipment, design and workspace efficiency, so Kangaroo Bus Lines called Levanta to help with their fit out. Devising the perfect strategy to combine large scale efficiency, safety and productivity, the result was a resounding success.

The project included:

  • The design and install of a heavy duty suspended ceiling pit, with all steel work being hot dip galvanised
  • Incorporating heavy duty air operated rolling work platforms, air/hydraulic rolling pit jacks and an exhaust extraction system that worked in conjunction with the pit lighting
  • Full oil delivery system that pumps 3 grades of oil, grease and coolant to hose reel gantries
  • Bulk new oil, new coolant, waste oil and waste coolant tanks
  • BM Roller Brake Tester and Shakers
  • 2 x Manual wash bays with high pressure hose and hose reels
  • Heavy Duty Computerised Wheel Balancer
  • Parts Hot Wash
  • Set of 6 Liftmax 6.5t wired mobile column lifts
  • Rolling Oil Drainers and waste oil & coolant pumps and reticulation
  • A range of small workshop equipment including Wheel Trolley and Jacks

In-house maintenance now more efficient with new design

Bacchus Marsh Coaches, part of the larger Donric Group of companies, were faced with a challenge.

They are justifiably proud of their modern fleet of luxury coaches, charter and school buses, which are serviced regularly at 5,000km intervals. All Bacchus Marsh Coaches’ vehicle maintenance is undertaken by their qualified in-house personnel, in order to ensure the highest levels of reliability, comfort and safety for their clients.

They needed to develop a bus workshop that would continue to meet their growing business’s needs. Levanta went to work on producing a detailed workshop layout to meet Bacchus Marsh Coaches’ requirements.

A full-featured turn-key workshop fitout

A central feature of the new workshop fitout was a 15 metre service pit, complete with ventilation, engineered jacking rail, and AC Hydraulics pit jack. The pit allows Bacchus Marsh Coaches to perform servicing much more efficiently than before.

Levanta installed a compressor and full compressed air ring main, to deliver air to wherever and whenever it’s needed, throughout the workshop.

An integral part of the new design was the installation of all oil lines in stainless steel piping, along with their associated pumps, reels and guns. This was an important consideration, because the system needed to be engineered to ensure sufficient flow rates from the guns, even in the typical cold weather of the Bacchus Marsh area.

After their initial engagement with Levanta, Bacchus Marsh Coaches decided to go ahead and install a BM roller brake tester and play detectors to ensure even greater flexibility and efficiency with their in-house bus maintenance.

Increased Service Capability Within Existing Space

Increasing their service offering within a limited, pre-existing space called for a fit out strategy that utilised design elements and perfectly placed equipment. Developing a full vehicle range capable workshop, with added service offerings, while maintaining safety standards was paramount for this project.

Project Challenge

Our client, a leading Audi Dealership in Perth, needed to increase their workshop capability to allow them to service their full range of vehicles, including wheel alignment servicing, plus provide a safe working environment for their workshop team.

Our Solution

With very specific brand and client requirements in mind, all of the lifting equipment was powder coated to Audi Grey. Utilising our experience in delivering the most value to clients within the scope of their space and budget, we worked closely with the client and the end result was a success.

Audi Centre – Osborne Park WA - Our client, a leading Audi Dealership in Perth, needed to increase their workshop capability to allow them to service their full range of vehicles, including wheel alignment servicing, plus provide a safe working environment for their workshop team.

The workshop fitout included:

  • The supply and install 11 x BendPak 4.5t two-post clear floor hoists
  • 8 x in-ground Scissor Lifts to the service bays provided an all-encompassing service area on the workshop floor.
  • Supply and install of a 6.3t four-post Wheel Alignment lift to the wheel service bay.
  • Also included in this fit out was a HPA 24 inch Tyre Changer with Help Assist Arm for low profile tyres.

Client Benefit

Our lifts and hoists provided the ability to cater to the full Audi range, including their extremely low profile cars. The ease of wheel alignment and the flexibility to service multiple vehicles, combined with the safety provided by the flush, clear floor equipment, while maintaining branding specifications was the perfect solution to Audi’s workshop needs.

An Australia First Servicing Workshop Fit Out

Our client had a vision for the future and we were happy to help. Delivering an innovative, Australia first in workshop fit outs, this project combined design, architecture and one of a kind equipment with technological future proofing, to ensure Bartons Bayside continued to remain at the forefront of servicing for their customers for years to come.

Project Challenge

Levanta was asked to provide consultancy for a new service facility to support and sustain a long standing, high profile Brisbane car dealership. The challenge was to deliver a technically advanced workshop which would utilise the finite space that they had available, deliver positive returns from day one and be recognised by clients, and the industry, as the most advanced facility in South East Queensland.

Our Solution

Levanta’s project team worked closely with the client and the architects, to develop an ideal solution to meet the client’s vision and challenge. This workshop fit out combined the full skill set of our Project, Technical and Product Teams to design a solution that would fit perfectly into the design of the new workshop and deliver the maximum number of revenue producing bays. We also engaged heavily with our suppliers to introduce some technologies that had not been deployed in Australia before.

Bartons Bayside – Wynnum QLD - Our client had a vision for the future and we were happy to help. Delivering an innovative, Australia first in workshop fit outs, this project combined design, architecture and one of a kind equipment with technological future proofing, to ensure Bartons Bayside continued to remain at the forefront of servicing for their customers for years to come.

The automotive project fitout delivered:

  • An innovative, Australia first, in-floor hoist system. This system required less space between the vehicle hoists using a minimalist design that did not have the portal frame of a standard vehicle hoist.
  • A highly reliable, durable and clinically clean system for the distribution of lubrication utilising Food Grade Stainless Steel tube. The system is complimented by custom made bulk oil tanks and air operated pumps at one end, and digital metering dispensers coupled to highly reliable hose reels at the other.
  • Compressed air delivery via a rotary screw compressor with integrated refrigerated dryer and receiver package. The air is delivered at a constant pressure and flow rate via the infinity aluminium tube air system.
  • The capability to deliver the fastest and most accurate alignments possible through the use of an eight CCD camera tower aligner which requires very little ongoing maintenance. The aligner sits in front of a 4.5 ton alignment knuckle lift with pantograph lifts. The Knuckle lift, when lowered, sits flush, recessed into the workshop floor.
  • Complementing the alignment system is a state of the art in-floor roller brake tester and suspension tester. The Roller tester provides the most accurate and consistently repeatable form of testing brake force and efficiency. The suspension tester provides detailed information on the performance and road holding capabilities of each shock absorber on the vehicle.

Client Benefit

Barton’s Bayside are already realising a rapid return on their investment. Presently, they have plans for an additional seven service bays, to complement the original twenty, for the new facility due to utilising the in-floor style, which allowed them to implement more service bays within their allocated floor space. They have enhanced customer experience, offer the most advanced testing equipment in Australia and have made substantial labour savings, while increasing their work flow through the improved efficiencies. All this has been achieved through the development of this new, state-of-the-art facility and our clients couldn’t be happier.

With limited space and big plans, West Point Star turned to the experts in hard to deliver workshop fit outs. Understanding limited access and land locking issues, our engineers devised a strategy that would achieve all of Mercedes goals on time, on budget and in style.

Project Challenge

West Point Star, a high profile Mercedes Dealership in WA, needed a complete workshop fit out for their new service centre. The site was a brand new development that had limitations on space and access. Levanta was asked to provide input on the most efficient layout on equipment and to deliver the project on tight timelines and with a clean style befitting a prestige dealership

Our Solution

Our WA team worked closely with the customer and our Project department to develop a suitable solution to fit the specific needs of the site. We scoped the equipment and proposed very detailed designs. Due to the very precise fit and finish requirements, we kept West Point Star heavily involved through every step of the installation, to ensure we not only met but exceeded their expectations.

Project Challenge

Geographe Ford Dealership in Bunburry needed a complete workshop fit out for their brand new service centre. With an existing bay plan in place, they needed advice on workflow efficiency and placement, supply and installation. So we worked closely with existing contractors and the client to deliver a win-win workshop solution.

Our Solution

Our Engineers, in consultation with the builders and Ford Geographe, devised a workshop layout that would accommodate the varying demands that this busy new service area would need to facilitate the high volume of work expected of it.
